Calculate the masses of cane sugar and water required to prepare 250 g of $25 %$ cane sugar solution.

Mass percentage of cane sugar = 25
We know that,
$M a s s p e r c e n t a g e = \frac{M a s s o f s o l u t e}{M a s s o f s o l u t i o n} \times 100$
So, $25 = \frac{M a s s o f c a n e s u g a r}{250} \times 100$
or
$M a s s o f c a n e s u g a r = \frac{25 \times 250}{100} = 62.5 g$
Mass of water = (250-62.5)=187.5 g
