Calculate the molarity of 30 ml of 0.5 M hydrochloric acid diluted to 500ml

Volume of HCl (V1) = 30 ml)

Diluted volume of HCl(V2) = 500 ml

Initial molarity M1= 0.5 M

We have to find M2 (molarity of 500 ml solution)

M2V2 = M1V1

M2×500 = 0.5 × 30

M2 = 15÷ 500 = 0.03 M
