Number of molecules =60×1021


Molecular Mass of pentane C5H12 = 5×12+12×1

= 60 + 12 = 72g

Number of moles of pentane =(C5H12)

=MassMolecular Mass=7.272

= 0.1
1 mole of pentane contains 6.022×1023 molecules.

Number of molecules in 0.1 mole pentane

=0.1×6.022×1023

=6.022×1022 molecules

=60.22×1021 molecules
