Question

Calculate the number of moles and molecules present in 4.4g of CO2

Open in App
Solution

Weight of CO2 in gram per molecules =(12)+(16×2)=12+32=44g moles
Now, number of moles of CO2 =n=weightmolecular weight=4.444=0.1
Now,no of molecules=n×6.022×1023=0.1×6.022×1023
=0.622×1023
=6.022×1022 molecules

Hence 0.1 moles and 6.022×1022 molecules are there in CO2
