Calculate the number of moles of $C u S O_{4}$ contained in $100 m L$ of $1 M C u S O_{4}$ solution. Also, find the number of $S O_{4}^{2 -}$ ions in it.

Molarity = $\frac{m o l e s}{V o l u m e o f s o l u t i o n (L)}$

$∴ 1 = \frac{m o l e s o f C u S O_{4}}{0.1}$

$∴$ Moles of $C u S O_{4} = 0.1$ moles

$1$ mole of $C u S O_{4}$ contains $6.022 \times 10^{23}$ ions of ${S O_{4}}^{2 -}$

$∴$ No. of $S O_{4}^{2 -}$ ions = $0.1 \times 6.022 \times 10^{23}$

$∴$ No. of $S O_{4}^{2 -}$ ions = $6.022 \times 10^{22}$ times
