We know that
Moment of Inertia =Mass×Radius of Gyration

Since
Moment of Inertia of disc (With axis passing through COM) = 12MR2}
Radius of Gyration of disc = 12(0.5)R

Applying Parallel Axis Theory
K2=K2C+d2
here KC= Radius Of Gyration about axis passing through COM
d= Distance between Axis
K2= 12R2+R2

K2= 32R2

K= 32R
