$\mu =\frac{\sin \left(\frac{D+A}{2}\right)}{\sin \left(\frac{A}{2}\right)}$

$=\frac{\sin \left(\frac{{30}^{\circ }+{60}^{\circ }}{2}\right)}{\sin \left(\frac{{60}^{\circ }}{2}\right)}$

$=\frac{\sin \left({45}^{\circ }\right)}{\sin \left({30}^{\circ }\right)}$

$\mu =1.414$

The redfractive index of a prism is $1.414$.
