300 ml of CO2­ at STP weighs 0.30 g

Therefore, 1 litre of CO2 at STP will weigh = 0.30×1000300 = 1 g

Vapour density = Wt. of 1000 ml of CO2 at STPWt. of 1000 ml of H2 at STP=10.09 = 11.11

Relative molecular mass = 2 × V.D. = 2 × 11.11 = 22.22 g
