Calculate the strength of the solution containing 5 gram of glocose in 200ml of solution find in liters

Open in App
Solution

Strength = Mass of solute in grams / Volume of solution in Litres

To convert Volume in ml to volume in L

we know 1 lLitre =1000ml

S O space space 1 over 1000 L i t r e s space equals 1 m l S O space 200 m l space equals 200 over 1000 L i t r e s space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space equals 2 over 10 L i t r e s space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space space equals 0.2 L i t r e s

Mass of solute in grams=5g

Volume of solution in Litres =200ml =0.2Litres

Strength = Mass of solute in grams / Volume of solution in Litres

= 5 / 0.2

=fraction numerator 5 asterisk times 10 over denominator 0.2 asterisk times 10 end fraction equals 50 over 2

= 25 g/L
