Given:

Number of turns, N=500

Area of each turn, A=1.0 cm2=1×104 m2

Magnetic field, B=0.02 T

Current passing through the coil, I=20 mA=20×103 A

Deflection in the coil, ϕ=0.04 rad

We know that, the torsional constant of a wire used in a moving coil galvanometer is,

C=NIBAϕ

Substituting the values,

C=(500)×(20×103)×(0.02)×(2×104)0.04

=1×103 Nm/rad

Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
