  • Number of moles of carbon atoms = 1212= 1mole
  • Number of atoms = number of moles ×Avogadro number

= 1×6.022×1023

= 6.022×1023

  • One atom of carbon contains six protons and six neutrons = 12nucleons
  • Therefore the number of nucleons = 6.022×1023×12 = 72.264×1023
