Maximum number of spectral lines (N) corresponding to transition from n1=5 to n2=1 are:
N= number of lines emitted =12(n1n2)(n1n2+1)
=12(51)(61+1)
=10
Here the transitions in lyman series fall under UV spectrum.
Therefore, transitions under UV spectrum are four (51,41,31 and 21)
