From the given figure, we can see that:
The diameter of the cylinder (d)=20 and
The height of the cylinder (h)=20
Hence, the radius of the cylinder will be r=202=10

We know that, the total surface area of a cylinder is 2πr2+2πrh
Here, r=10, h=20
The total surface area =2π(10)2+2π(10×20)
=2π(100+200)
=π(2×300)
=600π square units

Hence, the total surface area of the given cylinder is 600π square units.
