The correct option is C 3.46 A
Given:
Source voltage, V=12 V
Resistances, R1=7.4 Ω, R2=15.6 Ω and R3=11.2 Ω
The current in the circuit is same as the current through the effective resistance of the circuit.
Effective resistance in parallel, 1Reff=1R1+1R2+1R3
1Reff=17.4+115.6+111.2
1Reff=0.2885 Ω1 -----(1)
Potential difference,
V=iReff ------ (2) (ohm's law)
where i is the electric current.
From (1) & (2)
i=VReff=12×0.2885

i=3.46228 A
