Calculate the weight of a body of mass 10kg in kgf and newton

i) 10 kgf [Weight is a force , its gravitational unit in MKS system is the kilogramme-force (kgf)].

(ii) Weight = Mass × acceleration (here, g)

= 10 kg × 9.8 m s-2

= 98 N.

The direction of force is downwards and its magnitude is 98 N.
