The correct option is A 2N m(clockwise).
Net torque =Σr×F
The rod is pivoted at O, and A and B are at a distance of 2 m and 4 m respectively.
5 N of force is applied at point A, thus torque produced is,
τA = 5×2 = 10 Nm in the anti-clockwise direction.
3 N of force is applied at point B creating a torque,
τB = 3×4 = 12 Nm in the clockwise direction.
Thus net torque on the system is τ = τA + τB
τ = 2 Nm in the clockwise direction.
