Solution

Heterogenous mixture is the mixture in which the components remain in different phases can be easily separate out by some physical methods. For example sand in water is an example of heterogenous mixture. Homogenous mixtures also have two or more components but components are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture such as salt in water. In heterogenous mixtures, particles are distributed non uniformly and exhibits non-uniform composition. The mixture of salt and sand is an example of heterogenous mixture as both components can be seen by naked eyes and easily separated.
