A perpendicular bisector of a triangle is a line perpendicular to the side and passes through the midpoint of the side, i.e. bisects the side.
An altitude is defined as a perpendicular line segment from a vertex of a triangle to the side opposite to that vertex.
So, if the perpendicular bisector passes through the vertex opposite to that side, it will be the altitude.
This is a special case for an equilateral triangle.
The altitudes and perpendicular bisectors are same in equilateral triangle.
