Can a triangle be constructed with sides of given lengths?

3,5,6

Open in App
Solution

According to triangles inequality, the sum of two sides of a triangle should be greater than the third side.

By taking two sides at a time, let's verify triangles inequality for a triangle having sides 3,5,6

3+5=8>63+6=9>55+6=11>3

Since, the above sides satisfy the triangles inequality,

Therefore the triangle can be constructed.
