Can a triangle be drawn whose sides are -

3cm,4cm,7cm

Open in App
Solution

According to triangles inequality, the sum of two sides of a triangle should be greater than the third side.

By taking two sides at a time, let's verify triangles inequality for a triangle having sides 3cm,4cm,7cm

3+4=7=74+7=11>33+7=10>4

Since, the above sides does not satisfy the triangles inequality,

Therefore the triangle cannot be constructed.
