can amoeba eat a human brain?

Naegleria fowleri are called as brain eating amoeba.

They normally eats bacteria in warm fresh water bodies. But when the amoeba gets into humans it does not get any bacteria to eat , so it uses the brain as a food source. It us not actually eating brain, it attacks nerve cells.

It can cause serious brain damage and swelling that often leads to death.
