Can an instrument be called precise without being accurate? Can it be accurate without being precise.

Dear student, Precision : the number of decimal places after a given absolute value is called precision. Accuracy: it is the most nearest value that can be attained . From these definitions yes, na instrument can b called precise and accurate although to be practical , not any device/instrument is 100% accurate but they may be precise. Regards
