Can an internal force change the velocity of a body?

Open in App
Solution

Force:

  1. Force is an external effort to make a change in shape or size, position, or state.
  2. For example push, pull, lift, compress, throw and hit are the efforts we make as the external activity.
  3. The SI unit of force is Newton (N).
  4. It is not possible for internal force, because external force form can make a change in the velocity of the object.
