Solution

Absolutely not.Although some acids are used to bath with. But there are no water based acid that can dissolve Diamond at any temperature. The bonds between Carbon atoms in Diamond needs a lot of energy to break.Conc.Phosphoric Acid can dissolve glasses, and many other rocks,at 200 °C but may have only some effect on Diamond.Even pressure liquefied Chlorine gas can't cause any harm to it.The reaction of any element normally depends on it's colour and more precisely it's electrical nature.Although some acids are used to bathe Diamond with like Sulphuric acid, etc.

Hope it'll be helpful.
