  5. Cell walls, made of peptidoglycan, protect them from environmental conditions.
  6. Some bacteria lack cell walls like L-form Bacteria and Mycoplasma but retain their ability to survive in living organisms.

Virus:

  1. Viruses are microscopic infectious agents.
  2. Viruses contain either the genetic material, DNA or RNA.
  3. Viruses always require host cells to multiple or replicate.
  4. Viruses are known for causing diseases.
  5. Examples are - COVID-19, Ebola virus disease, swine flu, etc.
  6. Currently, no known research shows that bacteria kill viruses.
