Solution

Genetic variation:

  1. Genetic variation defines the presence of variation in the DNA sequence in each genome.
  2. It keeps us unique from others like hair colour, skin colour, and even our faces.
  3. For example, the eye colour of a person is blue has one allele for the blue colour of the eye, whereas the people with a different colour eye of people have the different alleles for that gene.
  4. The absence of genetic variation can cause many environmental problems.
  5. Genetic variation is important for natural selection and evolution.
  6. Changing environment and evolving population helps the organism to survive in every environment and they become habitat to that environment.
  7. There is a high risk of extinction if genetic variation does not occur.
  8. Evolution cannot occur in the absence of genetic variation because they give natural selection, helps organisms evolve and help them get habitat to every environmental condition.
