Question

Can force acting on body be zero??

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
The net force acting on a body can be zero. But forces like gravitational force due to earth surface or other objects near the body acts on the body but with very less magnitude. So, it cannot be said that in every case even in absence of external forces, force on body is zero but it can happen that net force on body is zero.
