Can girdling experiments be done in monocots ? If yes, How ? If no, why not ?

Girdling is the removal of the bark of tree in the form of ring . Here , the xylem is left untouched so that it can supply minerals and water among the parts of the tree . Girdling is done mostly in woody plants since the vascular tissues are attached but its not possible in monocotyledons since the vascular bundles are scattered and therefore there continuity is not disrupted. Its done mainly to increase yield and reproductive rate .
so Girdling experiment cannot be done in the monocotyledons .
