John Ambrose Fleming was a British physicist. He invented first thermionic valve or vacuum tube. He is also known for the left hand rule.

Michael Faraday was an British scientist who mainly contributes to study of electromagnetism and electrochemistry. He discovered the principles of electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism and electrolysis.
