Can I get the formulae related to mole concept?
One mole of any substance contains a fixed number (6.022 *1023) of any type of particles (atoms or molecules or ions) and has a mass equal to the atomic or molecular weight, in grams. Thus it is correct to refer to a mole of helium, a mole of electrons, or a mole of Na+, meaning respectively Avogadro's number of atoms, electrons or ions.
? Number of moles = Weight (grams)/Weight of one mole (g/mole)
= Weight/Atomic or molecular weight
The following formulas are used in the calculations :
Number of moles (n) = Given number of particles (N) / Avogadro number (N0)
Number of atoms (n) = Given mass (m) / Molar mass (M) x Avogadro number (N0)
Number of molecules (n) = Given mass (m) / Molar mass (M) x Avogadro number (N0)
Number of particles (n) = Number of moles of particles (n) x Avogadro number (N0)
