Solution

Kinetic Energy:

  1. The energy possessed by a body by virtue of its motion is called kinetic energy.
  2. If an object of mass m, moves with a velocity v, then kinetic energy K=12mv2.

Total Energy:

  1. The total energy is the sum of kinetic energy and potential energy.
  2. The kinetic energy of a particle can't be more than its total energy. Because total energy is the sum of kinetic energy and potential energy.
