Question

Can magnetic flux and electric flux exist together in a current carrying conductor

Open in App
Solution

Dear student

Yes both can exist together in current carrying conductor. Current is flow of charge. Charge produces electric field so even in current carrying conductor, electric field is produced and hence electric flux is produced.
As magnetic field is produced to moving charge so current carrying conductor also produces magnetic field around it and hence produces magnetic flux around it
So by current carrying conductor both magnetic flux and electric flux are produced. Hence both exist together in current carrying conductor
