Haemophilia:

1. It is an X-linked recessive genetic disorder that impairs the ability of the body to clot the blood.
2. It occurs due to the mutation of essential genes for blood clotting.
3. X-linked genetic mutations mean mutations in genes on the X chromosome.
4. A male carrying such a mutation will be affected (only one X chromosome).
5. However, a female carrying a mutation in one gene, with a normal gene on the other X chromosome, generally remains unaffected.

Haemophilia in males:

1. Males can pass on hemophilia only to daughters(XX) that have also inherited an affected copy of the X chromosome from their mother.
2. Since sons only get the Y chromosome from their fathers, it is generally impossible for males to pass on haemophilia to sons.
