Yes. Metals can be converted to metal vapours (not all) by heating at the particular temperature without change into liquid state. This process is called sublimation.
For ex
Na(s) ----> Na(g) (around 2500 K)
This reaction occur in sodium vapour lamp. This conversion is due to the property of the metal, that is the metal which are all sublimable.
