Question

Can parallel lines be curved

Open in App
Solution

The common misconception with parallel lines is that their direction has to also stay constant. We can’t curve two lines and call them “parallel”.

Parallel always requires two lines to be equidistant and straight.

But we can make the two lines curved and equidistant, as long as they don’t intersect with each other.

Hence, parallel lines cannot be curved.
