Open in App
Solution

Stainless steel:

  1. Stainless steel is an alloy of some metals like chromium, iron, silicon, manganese, carbon, molybdenum, and nickel.
  2. Due to the presence of chromium, steel remains corrosion resistant.
  3. Chromium forms a protective layer on steel by reacting with the air and resists steel from further corrosion.
  4. Hence, stainless steel does not rust.
