Can the evaporation of a liquid takes place at a temperature higher than its boiling point?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student, The temperature of the liquid remain constant when the boiling point of a that liquid is achieved. So even we apply continuous heat to that liquid then also the temperature remain constant. Hence, evaporation can take place at temperatures below boiling point since the molecules in the liquid have different energies. Regards
