can the image formed by a concave lens be caught on a screen? explain?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

A concave lens always forms a virtual image and we know that the virtual image can not be obtained/caught on a screen.

Explanation:- This type of image is formed at position where the paths of the principal rays cross when projected backward from their paths beyond the lens. This is image is imaginary although it has a definite position and size and can be "seen" or imaged by the eye, camera, or other optical instrument.
