Can the Molarity and molality of a given solution (solute + solvent) be equal?
True
Molarity is the number of moles of a given solute in a given volume of solution.
Molality is the number of moles of a given solute in a given mass of solvent.
So, it is quite possible but not certain that the volume of the solution and the mass of solvent is the same.
For example, if we take NaCl as the solute, and water as the solvent, 1 ml of H2O = 1 gm of H2O which makes the weight equal to the volume.
