Solution

Stems:

  1. The stem of a plant can be compared with a street with two-way traffic.
  2. Similar to the two-way traffic on road, which allows travel in both directions without any obstacles, the stem has two ways of mechanism support.
  3. There are two paths of transport in the stem represented by two tubes: xylem and phloem.
  4. Xylem in stem transport water and dissolved material from the roots to the leaves and other parts.
  5. The other type of tube, phloem present in the stem transport food from leaves to the other part of the plant including the root.

Since there are two ways of transport in plants similar to a two-way traffic system they are alike.
