From $Q = C V$

$V_{1} = \frac{Q_{1}}{C_{1}}$ and $V_{2} = \frac{Q_{2}}{C_{2}}$

$\frac{V_{1}}{V_{2}} = \frac{C_{2}}{C_{1}}$

$∴ V α \frac{1}{C}$

Thus, potential difference not only depends upon charge but also on geometry of conductor which affects capacitance.

So, two adjacent conductors of different dimensions carrying the same charge may have different potentials.
