Can two angles be supplementary if both of them are obtuse?

Open in App
Solution

Supplementary angles:

Let A and B are obtuse angles

Supplementary angles are those angles that sum up to 180°.

i.e A+B=180

If A>90 and B>90,

Then

A+B>90+90A+B>180

180

Example:

Let A=91° and B=91° which are obtuse angles, then

A+B=91°+91°=182°180°

Hence, no two angles are supplementary if both of them are obtuse
