Area of a Quadrilateral
Can we constr...
Question
Can we construct a
∆ABC in which AB = 5 cm, BC = 4 cm and AC = 9 cm? Why?
Open in App
Solution
No, the sum of two side must be greater than the third side.
AC should be greater than (AB + BC).
In this case, AB + BC = 5 + 4 = 9 cm
AC = 9 cm
Thus, the sum of two sides is not greater than the third side. So, triangle ABC cannot be constructed.
