Can we dissolve out sulphur from iron II sulphide using carbon disulphide

Dear Student,
Yes, we can seperate a mixture of S and FeS2 by a compound called Carbon Disulphide(CS2). CS2 dissolves sulphur but not FeS2, thus leaving it out as the residue. It is also used as test to distinguish between S and FeS2.
