Question

Can we magnetize an iron piece permanently by the method of magnetic induction?

Open in App
Solution

Permanent magnet

  1. Unlike permanent magnets, induction magnets only become temporary magnets when placed in a magnetic field.
  2. When the magnet is removed from the magnetic field, the inductive magnetism disappears rapidly.

Hence, we can not magnetize an iron piece permanently by the method of magnetic induction.
