Can we say that a charged object attracts an uncharged object by first charging it through induction? Please explain.

Solution

If an object is positively charged on all sides of its dimensions then if it is brought near to one side of the uncharged object that side of the uncharged object facing the charged object gets the opposite charges (negative). And the other side which is facing away from the charged object is carrying positive charge.

So a charged object tries to attract an object by imparting negative charges to one side of the uncharged object and that process of imparting negative charge is called induction.
We know that unlike charges attract each other. So the objects attract each other.
