Solution

The function of lysosomes:

  1. Lysosome is the organelle where cell wastes and debris all get accumulated and the catabolic enzymes in the lysosome digest all waste.
  2. They regulate the waste management in cell.
  3. The lysosome is called a suicide bag of the cell.
  4. Every cell undergoes apoptosis to maintain genetic consistency.
  5. Lysosome digest the apoptotic cells and prevents the aging cells to turn cancerous.
  6. Lysosome digests pathogen-containing phagocytes and in turn activates the humoral immune response.
  7. Without lysosomes, cell-mediated immunity will not work.
  8. The cell mediated immune system is system in which our body cells fight with pathogen and save our body from diseases.
  9. So, without lysosomes, the cell will not survive.
