Question
Can you use a transistor as a diode
?
Open in App
Solution
A bipolar junction transistor, as we all know, is the same as two diodes connected back to back.
The transistors, on the other hand, are not constructed like ordinary diodes.
The p-region and n-region in a transistor are doped differently and with different sizes.
By using a transistor as a diode can result in current and other rating issues.
Therefore, transistors can't be used as diodes.
