Acquisition of ability to fertilize ovum is called as capacitation of sperm, which occurs after its entry in female reproductive tract. Option A is correct.
Option B is incorrect as vas deferens serves as connector between epididymis and ejaculatory ducts and thus is the part of male reproductive system. Vas efferens are the small tubules, that serve to carry the sperms from testes to epididymis.
Option C is incorrect as it is also a male reproductive organ. Vagina is the birth canal and organ of sexual intercourse in human. The sucking effect as exerted by uterine contraction makes spermatozoa to reach uterine tubes as soon as their entry in vagina, which means that they remain in vagina for very shorter duration. Since capacitation needs around 1 - 10 hrs, it is done in not only vagina but in whole female genital tract. This makes option D incorrect. Correct answer is option A.
