Given: ΔQab=+7000 , Ta=300K,Tb=1000K

Solution:
ΔQab=+7000=μCv(1000300)

For the process ca: Ta=300K,Tc=Tb=1000K

(ΔQ)ca=μCP(3001000)=μCP×700=μ(CV+R)700

For carbon monoxide : Ta=300K,Tc=Tv=1000K

(ΔQ)ca=μCP(3001000)=μCP×700=μ(CV+R)700

For carbon monoxide : γ=75CV=Rγ1=R751=5R2
Hence, form Eq. (i)

7000=μ5R2×700μR=205=4

ΔQca=(700+4×700)=9800J

Negative sign shows that heat is ejected.

Hence D is the correct option
